The idea for this public-facing website grew out of a 2021-23 Mellon Sawyer Seminar, Sites of Translation in the Multilingual Midwest, coordinated by faculty and graduate students at the University of Michigan: Maya Barzilai, Aaron Coleman, Kristin Dickinson, Elisabeth Fertig, Graham Liddell, Julia Irion Martins, Marina Mayorski, Christi Merrill, Benjamin Paloff, Yopie Prins, Marlon James Sales, Berkay Uluç, Silke-Maria Weineck.
