“Everything you could ever possibly want is here.”

Lorenzo (L): Lorenzo Ramirez Jr.
Interviewer (I): And, how long have…how long have you lived in Southwest [Detroit]?
(L): [I've] been here about 31 years.
(I): What do you like about living in this neighborhood?
(L): It's just diverse. And everything is just…everything is right here. Everything you could ever possibly need or want is here. It's just so local. It's…you know? It's convenient.
(i): Yeah. What do you think about all the artwork that…like…all the murals that…
(L): I think it's awesome.
(I): Uh, and why…uh….so the city is also investing in hiring Hispanic artists to paint murals depicting the Hispanic community. Why do you think that's important?
(L): Uh…I think it's probably important because they can relate to the people that live here. If they don't live here, you know? They're Hispanic, so they can relate to the people who are here, which, you know, Southwest is a melting pot here.
(I): Alright, that's all.
